Speak Up & Artist Co-Op Practitioners Event

Speak Up & Artist Co-Op Practitioners Event

Cast Drama Space (unallocated)

Wed 31 January

12.30PM

Sign up to a networking event where you can share your practice and find out more about a scheme run by Cast and the National Theatre, who are looking to widen our pool of artists and recruit freelancers to work with young people.

Over the next two years, we will be looking to connect with artists from a range of art forms to work alongside teachers and students in our Speak Up schools programme. We want to meet beatboxers, dancers, poets, illustrators, theatre makers, composers, singers, circus artists, designers and the list goes on!

We’re looking for practitioners interested in co-creation, who are all about making work alongside others through collaboration. Do you have those skills? Register your interest for our event, which takes place on 31 January 2024 from 12:30pm-4pm, by completing this form.

  • Do you have knowledge, understanding and experience of co-creation processes and methodology?
  • Can you ensure transparency, honesty and fairness through the co-created enquiry, research, making, sharing and reflecting processes?
  • Can you be flexible and responsive while working to a creative brief with deadlines?
  • Can you be thoughtful, reflective, and responsive to information and experiences shared by young people?

If you have any questions about working as an artist in one of our Doncaster Speak Up schools, or to register your interest to find out more, please email Speak Up Producer Annabel Weeden on annabel@castindoncaster.com or phone the office on 01302 303950 to leave your details and request for Annabel to give you a call back.
