We had a fantastic day at Doncaster Pride on Saturday 10 August, who this year were the host city to UK Pride. We had a group of our staff, community and even panto characters marching in the Parade, waving the LGBRQIA+ support flag as Cast stood with the community as we do every day. We also had the pleasure of being the official hosts of the children and family space, the space was crammed full of fun and entertainment for families and hosted in a candy striped big top circus style tent! And as always, we had a stand in the info marquee where we gave away lots of cast goodies including the opportunity to spin a wheel and be entered into a prize draw to win theatre tickets!
Our faithful panto friends Dame Trott and Silly Billy from our upcoming production of Jack and the Beanstalk, were in attendance. They had fun in the family tent, made lots of new friends walking around the site and even crashed the main stage!
It was a brilliant day celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community here in Doncaster and we are very proud that we were able to play a role in supporting Doncaster when hosting UK Pride. We enjoyed the good weather, good food, and great performances! Well done and thank you to all who were involved.
