DAISY ANN FLETCHER

Daisy, who is a Leeds-born actor, will be playing Grusha, one of the central characters in ‘The Doncastrian Chalk Circle’. She’s had the joy of working with some brilliant companies such as Vanishing Point on ‘Metamorphosis: Unplugged’, with Wrongsemble, Red Ladder & Leeds Playhouse on ‘The Not So Ugly Sisters’, and with Cardboard Citizens & The Belgrade on ‘The Ruff Tuff Cream Puff Estate Agency’.

“I feel incredibly lucky to be a cog in this immense and beautiful machine that is ‘The Doncastrian Chalk Circle’. Chris Bush’s adaptation of Brecht’s play tells an urgently needed story about the responsibility of care within a community; the resilience of unconditional, unconventional love; and the meaning of justice within absolute law. It couldn’t be told by anyone else but the brilliant cast from Public Acts. Sharing the stage with every single performer, learning from their commitment and generosity is an absolute privilege and I cannot wait to see what the remainder of our rehearsals have in store...”
