Foyle Foundation Grant & Artist Development News

We’re thrilled to announce that Cast has been awarded a £25,000 Artist Development grant from The Foyle Foundation! This incredible support will fuel our mission to support local talent and our associate artists Tawny Kay and Growth House in developing their work.

Our commitment to supporting talent doesn’t stop there! We’re proud to back Morven Robinson the brilliant writer of Happy!—a powerful show that delves into men’s mental health and the development of Material  (working title).  Looking forward, we’ll be introducing seed funding opportunities, offering three £1,000 grants to inspire and support innovative theatre-makers.

Exciting things are on the horizon! We're also planning an Arts Council England workshop and funding surgeries, and next year, we’ll be bringing on another Associate Artist, with two more recruitments to follow for the next cohort.

Cast recently hosted a R & D and sharing of Edith- a show based on the true story of Edith Brooks, a female hot air aeronautist who took a fatal flight over Hillsbrough Park in 1902, written by Helen Rice.

To top it all off, a Scratch Night and an Open Mic are in the works, so stay tuned for more ways to get involved and showcase your talent!
