CAST IS BACK - WE'VE MISSED YOU!

It goes without saying that we can't wait to welcome you back to Cast - hosting events, putting on performances and giving you a night out to remember is what we do best. Your safety and wellbeing is vital to us, and to help you feel safe, secure and comfortable at all times, we’ve been working hard to introduce a wide range of new measures across our venue.

All events, except for workshops, will be in our Main Space. This is to allow us to follow social distancing guidance and leave enough space between parties when seated. If you've booked for a workshop and you aren't sure where it is taking place, please refer back to the booking page, contact us on 01302 303 959 or email hello@castindoncaster.com.

Don't attend if you have Covid Symptoms, wear a face mask if you can

What if I'm ill?

First of all, please don't come to an event at Cast if you're showing symptoms of COVID-19. Let us know as soon as you can that you cannot attend an event at Cast due to illness and we'll issue you a refund on your tickets. We know that things are a little uncertain right now, so we're offering refunds on all tickets purchased if you cannot attend due to Covid-19.

What Track & Trace system have you got in place?

When you booked onto your event or workshop, we will have taken the full details of the lead booker. We will get in contact with them if needed for track & trace purposes. We also encourage the use of the NHS Track & Trace app, and have a QR code available to scan on entry to the venue. Please download the app and scan the barcode upon entry.

What time should I arrive?

We're currently doing staggered entry times based on where you're sat. You'll have been told your allocated time slot for that seat when you booked. Can't remember what your time slot was? Don't worry, your confirmation email also tells you what time you need to be at Cast for. Please don't arrive early if possible, as our Front of House area isn't open for you to wait in, but don't worry if you're late!

 

What about drinks?

We're currently providing an at seat service to avoid queues. Unfortunately, we're unable to serve any hot or alcoholic drinks at present.

If you would like to order a drink once you've already arrived at Cast, we are using FillMeApp. This is a free app you can download onto your phone by searching FillMeApp in your app store. Simply order your drinks through the app and a member of staff will bring them to you in your seat! Orders must be placed between 6pm and 10pm.

Will I still have a ticket?

We are currently doing ticketless entry. When you arrive at Cast there will be a registration desk, where we'll take the lead booker's name and info, before leading you to your seats. No need to print off your confirmation email (unless you want to!) but if you can have it to hand, on a phone or tablet, that would be very helpful.

 

Is it reduced capacity and distanced seating?

Yes, we've reduced our capacity from 600 to 150, and all seats are distanced from each other to keep you as safe as possible.

 

Who can I attend Cast with?

As Doncaster and South Yorkshire are currently categorised as Tier 2 by the government, restrictions are currently in place to prevent different households mixing. This also applies to attending events at Cast - bookings must only contain members of the same household or bubble. If you've already booked tickets for an event at Cast and your party is a mixture of different households, please contact us on 01302 303 959 or email hello@castindoncaster.com as soon as possible. 

 

Is there an interval?

Some events at Cast will have an interval, some won't. Where possible we will advertise this on the web page for the event you've booked for. When you arrive, you'll also see that we've got chalk boards with start, finish, and interval times on. 

 

Are your toilets open?

Yes, all of our toilets, including disabled and our Changing Places toilet are open as usual.

 

What measures are being taken to keep me or my child safe in a workshop?

The same measures as above will apply, with the following additions: 

  • Registration will open 10 minutes before the activity (we kindly ask that you arrive no earlier than the start of registration).
  • Staff will be wearing masks in our public facing areas, but not during workshop sessions. However, we ask that any parent/carer that attends a session does wear a mask, unless they are medically exempt.
  • The workshop spaces are being marked out with 2m grids to aid social distances, and contact games (such as tig) will be avoided. If art materials are used during the sessions, these will be assigned to individual customers, and then not used again for 72 hours.

What happens if an event is cancelled?

We're sure you can appreciate that at the minute, some things are just out of our hands, and that means that we may need to cancel an event at short notice. If this is the case, we will let you know as soon as we can, either by email or giving you a call. We'll let you know what the next steps are when we contact you.
