Join us for an evening celebrating the best of South Yorkshire’s folk talent. From the UK to Americana, banjo to vocals, it promises to be an eclectic evening filled with musical talent.

Banjo Jen  

Jen has continued to hone her craft since releasing the debut EP 'Lost & Found', and her gift for sharp songwriting and her genuine warmth and rapport with live audiences is guaranteed to entertain and leave you wanting more.  

Frank Carline  

Doncaster based Frank Carline has an enviable career of over 45 years singing the blues and related music. Absolutely “Mr Blues of Doncaster.  

Kate Green Band   

Give Sheffield based Scots lady Kate Green a bit of your time, and she’ll take you on a musical odyssey through trad folk, jazz, Americana, blues and contemporary, leaving her stamp indelibly on each one.   

Charlotte Hannah  

Tickhill based Charlotte Hannah is a UK singer and performer  whose incredible vocals have won over the likes of Glamour Magazine, Disney Channel's Dove Cameron, and over a million viewers on YouTube.  

James Taplin  

An audience hosting James is guaranteed to enjoy his gentle manner, self-deprecating humour, his thoughtful curation of songs, and his shiver-inducing virtuoso vocal performance. One to watch - if you're patient.'  


Celtic Rose School of Irish Dance with accompanist Martin Frain  

The Celtic Rose School of Irish serves to teach and display the art of Irish Step Dancing around Doncaster and South Yorkshire. 


Dave Oldroyd 
 

Singer songwriter who has performed in Irish venues internationally with a mix of traditional and contemporary song. His ballad about "The Great Hunger" took first place in The World Fleadh competition and second in The All Ireland Fleadh competition.

 

Ian McMillan

Based in Darfield, Barnsley Ian McMillan is a highly respected poet, broadcaster and writer with appearances throughout TV & BBC radio. 

Ian is poet-in-residence for The Academy of Urbanism and Barnsley FC. He presents The Verb every week on BBC R3 and he’s a regular on BBC Breakfast, Coast, Pick of the Week, You & Yours, Last Word and The Arts Show. He’s been a castaway on Desert Island Discs and a subject of The South Bank Show. Cats make him sneeze.
