These workshops will focus on a broad range of playwriting techniques and tips, and are led by Chris O'Connor a Northern based writer who has had work produced for stage, radio and film. The next term will include working towards a Christmas themed monologue which will be performed at a sharing event at Cast.
Scriptworks is a friendly and supportive environment, where local writers can submit or develop their script works to be read together in an informal setting at regular sharings/readings. There will also be the opportunity to take part in public readings and other projects.
It’s the perfect opportunity for those of you with an interest in writing professionally and those of us with a story to tell.
For the next run of Scriptworks we will be looking further at various aspects of playwriting, as well as working towards an evening of comedy themed scripts which will be performed at Cast with professional actors in June. You will need to attend at least two sessions to have your piece included.
To take part in the first session just book below! For more information contact Rosie Clark at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject heading ‘Scriptworks’.
