Our Culture, Our Heritage: Poetry Competition 2020

Celebrate Black History Month with Cast and partners by entering our poetry competition.

Cast has partnered up with BME United, Darts, Changing Lives, Chinwe Russell Art Gallery, Doncaster Stories and 2G: Second Generation to celebrate Black History Month. 

We're looking for poetry submissions along the theme of 'Stories from my Homeland'. Poems can be either in English or your Mother Tongue. 

There's no age limit - we'd love for people of all ages to enter. Entrants will be split into two categories: ages 0-16 & 16+.

Please keep the word limit between 300-400 words.

A panel of judges will decide on a shortlist, and we will also be hosting an online celebration event on Saturday 24 October, 2pm-4pm to thank all of our entrants and announce the winners. All entrants with receive a certificate of particiation and there'll also be prizes up for grabs!
