A free explosive and thrilling evening spectacular, Clash of Drums will take place in Doncaster Town Centre on Friday 23 September at 8pm outside Cast in Sir Nigel Gresley Square on Waterdale.
Following last year’s Colour of Time which pulled in crowds of thousands, this year’s outdoor extravaganza will feature pyrotechnics, thrilling movement, drumming and fireworks.
After many years spent travelling the world with their amazing drum and firework shows, the Basque company Deabru Beltzak and the French company Les Commandos Percu combine their talents and know-how with a clear objective: to reclaim the streets.
Drummers will march around Cast with their drumsticks twirling, their colourful faces sizing each other up for a confrontation of rhythm and light. The blazing musicians will weave between the audience and crowds before climbing onto the stage for a collision of furious drumming, frantic movement, hypnotic chanting and fire.
Over 2000 people are expected to gather outside Cast for this explosive spectacular on the Friday, with over 600 audience members from inside Cast at Mod Musical All or Nothing and Only Fools and Boycie with John Challis likely to enjoy a unique interval experience.
Clash of Drums is supported through Right Up Our Street and the Global Streets strategic touring programme funded by Arts Council England.
Clash of Drums on Friday 23 September at 8pm is a FREE event, with registration for email updates available by booking a free ticket here or by calling 01302 303 959.
