Be part of the next generation of young creative leaders in Doncaster!
Cast is looking to recruit young people, aged 16-25, from across Doncaster to become Young Leaders in the arts. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking for a career in the creative industries.
What is involved?
Working with Cast Theatre for the period of one academic year you will be placed with one of our Youth Theatre groups. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the delivery of a variety of creative activities, assisting arts professionals to run workshops in dance, drama and theatre with children and young people across your area.
You will take part in skills workshops, take part in projects that have local and national reach, opportunities to perform on our main stage and other spaces at Cast.
In order to ensure that you are fully supported, you will receive a full programme of training and mentoring, as well as ongoing guidance from session leaders.
Former Young Leaders have gone on to work as Assistants at Cast, chaperone our professional performances and to train as teachers and facilitators.
In addition to this, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills and interests here at Cast with bespoke opportunities created to nurture your individual talents and interests, from directing to technical support to participatory arts or marketing.
